On Friday, June 16, 2017, 2017-2018 bus route information for all current BRRSD students will be uploaded to the Parent Portal at 3:00 p.m. All incoming Kindergarten student transportation information will be sent out via email as well as through the U.S. Postal Service. We ask that the parents/guardians of all bus students please review the 2017 -2018 bus stop locations and times. Please note that the bus routes have been reviewed by Lucini Bus Lines and the BRRSD Central Office Administrative Team, were driven and observed by the bus drivers, and were further reviewed by safety officials. Based upon the recommendations of these individuals, changes have been made as means of ensuring the safety of our bus students.

Day 1

 

 

The Bridgewater Youth Track Program is looking for volunteers to help coach young children at the Bridgewater State University Track. The program will beginning on April 24th through June 14th on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30-7:00PM. You will earn community service for this but you have to be willing to commit to the program. There will be a brief introductory meeting on Monday, April 10th in E102 immediately after school. 

 

Attention all members of the Math Team:  There is an important meeting this Thursday after school in Mrs. Pezzullo's room.  It is important that all members attend.

 

Senior prom permission slips are available in the main office beginning today. Follow the Class of 2017 on Twitter @brclassof17 for more information on ticket sales for all senior events!

 

The Spring Semi-Formal Dance for grades 9-12 is Thursday, April 13th from 7-10pm in the B-R gym. Tickets are $10 and will be sold during all lunches and after school in F204 from Thursday, April 6th-Wednesday, April 12th. Permission slips are available in the main office, F204, and F303. You must turn in your signed permission slip when buying a ticket.

 

YESS will be meeting each Tuesday and Thursday for the next two weeks with refreshments and materials to help students design and create exciting recycled fashions for the upcoming Recycled Fashion Show at 7 p.m. on April 25th. Designers, models, hair and make-up artists are still needed to show-off our amazing fashions. Prizes will be awarded, talents will be performed and baked good will be for sale. See Ms. Lazarus to sign-up and for more information.

 

Attention JUNIORS! Junior Prom tickets will be on sale starting today - Friday April 7 for an early bird price of $65. The Bridgewater 4th of July Committee designs an annual t-shirt for the 4th each year, and they're looking for ideas! Members of the community create and vote on the possible shirts, designs should be submitted by the end of April!

 

Give Hope Inc. is offering a community service opportunity for all students, they will be collecting backpacks and textbooks for impoverished children in Haiti.

 

There is a community service opportunity on May 21, a Bridgewater Town Cleanup will take place from 1-4pm. Volunteers are asked to meet in the town common at 1pm. 

 

If anyone is looking for community service hours, the Bridgewater Senior Center is having a Spring Fling April 19th.

BR High School Cheerleading tryouts will be Monday June 5th thru Thursday June 8th, from 3:00pm-4:30pm, in the gym.

 

Any student wishing to volunteer at graduation this Sunday for community service hours, please see Mrs. Bogle in Room A157.

 

There will be a mandatory meeting in the lecture hall after school this Tuesday, June 6th at 2:05 for all sophomores signed up to take Advanced Placement United States History next school year. All students are expected to attend to receive their summer work and a brief overview of the course. Any student who cannot attend must see Ms. MacCord in room G208 before or after school one day next week.

YESS will be meeting each Tuesday and Thursday for the next two weeks with refreshments and materials to help students design and create exciting recycled fashions for the upcoming Recycled Fashion Show at 7 p.m. on April 25th. Designers, models, hair and make-up artists are still needed to show-off our amazing fashions. Prizes will be awarded, talents will be performed and baked good will be for sale. Today will be Art Club’s annual Edible Art Competition.

 Contestants will compete for the best work of art made entirely of food. This contest is open to the public and may be entered individually or as a group. All entries must be fit for human consumption. Six edible creations will be awarded with Michael’s gift

 cards. The judging categories are Best of Show, Best Use of Materials, Best Use of Color, Healthiest Creation, Best Construction, and Most Creative. After the works are judged, we will sample the art. The entry fee is is $2, or $1 with a canned good for entrants

 and spectators. The event will be held at BR tonight from 6 to 7:30 PM. See Mrs. Wood in B204 with any questions.

BR Faculty and Students - On Monday, April 3rd we will  LIght it Up Blue at BR. We ask that to raise awareness for Autism Spectrum Disorders that everyone wear BLUE! Again - PLEASE WEAR BLUE THIS COMING MONDAY!!!!!

Next Monday will be Art Club’s annual Edible Art Competition.

 Contestants will compete for the best work of art made entirely of food. This contest is open to the public and may be entered individually or as a group. All entries must be fit for human consumption. Six edible creations will be awarded with Michael’s gift

 cards. The judging categories are Best of Show, Best Use of Materials, Best Use of Color, Healthiest Creation, Best Construction, and Most Creative. After the works are judged, we will sample the art. The entry fee is is $2, or $1 with a canned good for entrants

 and spectators. The event will be held at BR on April 3rd from 6 to 7:30 PM. See Mrs. Wood in B204 with any questions.

 

YESS is looking for designers and models for this year's recycled fashion show. Come make a recycled fashion or become a model for this year's show. Tuesdays after school. Visit D208 for more information.

The Bridgewater Youth Track Program is looking for volunteers to help coach young children at the Bridgewater State University Track. The program will beginning on April 24th through June 14th on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30-7:00PM. You will earn community service for this but you have to be willing to commit to the program. There will be a brief introductory meeting on Monday, April 10th in E102 immediately after school. 

 

YESS will be meeting each Tuesday and Thursday for the next two weeks with refreshments and materials to help students design and create exciting recycled fashions for the upcoming Recycled Fashion Show at 7 p.m. on April 25th. Designers, models, hair and make-up artists are still needed to show-off our amazing fashions. Prizes will be awarded, talents will be performed and baked good will be for sale. Bridgewater Music Alley is currently seeking weekly "hosts" to assist with setting up and breaking down Music Alley each Thursday from approximately 4pm to 8:30pm. 

This is an unpaid volunteer community service opportunity for any Thursday(s) between June 8th and running though September 7th. Any hours completed count as community service hours that can be signed off on at completion of each night.

YESS will be offering the Whale of a Family Night Program at Bridgewater State University on Wednesday, May 17th from 4-7. We are looking for students to help lead one of 28 exciting events for community service. Work with kindergarten to middle school aged youth and their families on fun ocean wildlife activities such as Marine Life Twister. See Ms. Lazarus in D208 to sign up.

Attention all members of the Math Team:  There is an important meeting this Thursday after school in Mrs. Pezzullo's room.  It is important that all members attend.

 

Senior prom permission slips are available in the main office beginning tomorrow (April 5th). Follow the Class of 2017 on Twitter @brclassof17 for more information on ticket sales for all senior events!

 

The Spring Semi-Formal Dance for grades 9-12 is Thursday, April 13th from 7-10pm in the B-R gym. Tickets are $10 and will be sold during all lunches and after school in F204 from Thursday, April 6th-Wednesday, April 12th. Permission slips are available in the main office, F204, and F303. You must turn in your signed permission slip when buying a ticket.

 

YESS will be meeting each Tuesday and Thursday for the next two weeks with refreshments and materials to help students design and create exciting recycled fashions for the upcoming Recycled Fashion Show at 7 p.m. on April 25th. Designers, models, hair and make-up artists are still needed to show-off our amazing fashions. Prizes will be awarded, talents will be performed and baked good will be for sale. See Ms. Lazarus to sign-up and for more information.

 

Attention JUNIORS! Junior Prom tickets will be on sale starting Wednesday April 5 - Friday April 7 for an early bird price of $65. After that, tickets will be sold for $70 until April 28.  See Mr. Bosworth in F308 or Mrs. S. in F205 to pick up a prom permisson form. All permission forms are due at the time ticket purchase. Get your forms now!  

 

Volunteer Hours available

2/  General coaching help for U 7 and U 9 age groups . Students with Lacrosse experience very welcome  but those who would feel comfortable helping coach young age group with adult coach please let us know and we will see if you would be a good fit for the program. Practice Wednesday 5 pm and Sunday am .

The Bridgewater 4th of JulyCommittee designs an annual t-shirt for the 4th each year, and they're looking for ideas! Members of the community create and vote on the possible shirts, designs should be submitted by the end of April!

 

Give Hope Inc. is offering a community service opportunity for all students, they will be collecting backpacks and textbooks for impoverished children in Haiti.

 

There is a community service opportunity on May 21, a Bridgewater Town Cleanup will take place from 1-4pm. Volunteers are asked to meet in the town common at 1pm

 

If anyone is looking for community service hours, the Bridgewater Senior Center is having a Spring Fling April 19th.

New scholarships are available in F305. 

 

The Laliberte Parents Organization is looking for 4 high school volunteers to babysit during the parent organization meetings at the Laliberte Elementary School. Students will be watching approximately 4-8 children, ages 5-10, during the meetings in the Cafeteria. Coloring pages, crayons, worksheets and/or easy crafts will be provided, or volunteers may help students with homework.

ATTENTION ALL FEMALE ATHLETES...WHEN YOUR SPORT SEASON COMES TO AN END, PLEASE CLEAN OUT YOUR SPORT LOCKER AND LEAVE THE LOCK IN THE CRATE OUTSIDE OF MRS. HICKEY'S OFFICE IN THE GIRLS LOCKER ROOM. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL POSSIBLY RESULT IN LOSS OF YOUR BELONGINGS. All Lockers will be emptied by June 13th unless you are still in a sport on that date. 

 

Attention all student athletes (including 8th Graders), who are planning to try out for a fall sport in august 2017:  You MUST have a CURRENT Baseline Test PRIOR to Tryouts.   the athletic trainer will be conducting impact baseline testing on June 5th through the 9th, at EITHER 2:30 OR 3:15 in room E218.   To find out if you are all set for the upcoming Fall Season, look at the lists posted on the Athletic Trainer’s Office Door, Athletic Director’s Office Door, or in the MAIN OFFICE.  

 

Attention all students: We have a new and exciting opportunity for you.  If you struggle in math and just need a little extra help, the members of the math team are starting a Math Lab.  The Math Lab is open EVERY Tuesday and Thursday after school in Mrs. Cooley's room, F107, from 2:00-3:00.  Whether you need help in your current class, or you would like help preparing for SATs, College Extrance Exams, or even the MCAS, they are here to help.  So, stop by the Math Lab ANY Tuesday or Thursday and they plan to help improve your math skills exponentially!

For all students who are currently taking an AP course, the pre-administration session was yesterday. If you missed it, SEE MRS. Beech TODAY in Room F310.  All AP students are required to complete the pre-administration session. 

 

"Get & Give" to keep your Traveling Tokens of Wisdom, Strength, Friendship, Joy, Navigation and others moving to inspire a friend today.  Some say it may even be bad luck to hold onto a token for more than two days.

Last chance to buy senior lock-in tickets are this week (4/10-4/13) during all lunches. Cost is $25. Permission slips are available in the main office or outside F204 and F303.

 

There will be a meeting of the senior members of the National Honor Society tomorrow morning,  at 7 AM in the Lecture Hall. Breakfast items should be donated for the food pantry.

 

Any student wishing to participate in the CHAMPIONS FIGHTING CANCER WALK may pick up a brochure in the main office.

 

The Bridgewater Youth Track Program is looking for volunteers to help coach young children at the Bridgewater State University Track. The program will beginning on April 24th through June 14th on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30-7:00PM. You will earn community service for this but you have to be willing to commit to the program. There will be a brief introductory meeting on Monday, April 10th in E102 immediately after school.
